Product Description
STEINEL IR Quattro MICRO 6m COM1 is a compact black presence detector for recessed ceiling installation. Its small visible trim and 15 × 15 mm precision lens help preserve a clean ceiling line in a hotel room, small office or ancillary room. The RAL 9005 finish fits naturally alongside dark ceilings and interior details.
Detection suited to the room
The passive infrared sensor detects changes in body heat around the fitting. At the specified 2.8 m installation height, it offers a presence zone of up to 4 × 4 m and a tangential movement zone of up to 6 × 6 m. Positioning it with a clear view of the occupied area and entrance supports dependable switching. The detection-zone size is fixed on this model.
Control for everyday use
Settings are made with an optional RC8, RC5 or Smart Remote, according to the functions provided by the chosen remote. Fully automatic mode switches the lighting as required, while semi-automatic mode leaves switch-on to a wall button. IQ mode adapts the switch-off delay to room usage, and Teach stores the desired ambient-light threshold. A remote control is not included.
Planning the installation
The IP65 housing also suits moisture-exposed indoor rooms when the installation position meets the applicable requirements. Spring clips retain the sensor in a ceiling opening of up to 35 mm diameter; allow at least 120 mm of clear installation depth behind the ceiling. COM1 provides one switched lighting circuit. Wired interconnection can combine detection from several positions to control a shared lighting area. Article 068639 carries a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
